Once we arrived we were given a quick orientation and then shown on movie on the realities of poverty. A short snack and then some free time to finish off the night. Tomorrow we'll attend church in the morning and then head off to our target neighborhood for a block party.
Thank you so much to everyone who helped by donating the needed supplies and for all those who have been and will be praying for us this week! Please continue to pray for the people we will be ministering to. That they would be receptive to our message. Pray for our students that they would have the boldness to share the gospel with those here who are hurting and in need. Pray also for the weather, there is supposed to be some rain every day this week.

Great pictures! Miss you guys! Where are all the comments from church people????
On every mission trip, there are points where you will be discouraged, or wonder, "how did we get into this?" God used such folks as Joseph, David and Daniel -- even as teens -- to not only glorify himself but also to shake the world. As such, if you find yourself discouraged at any point, just remember: if there was no opposition or difficulty, you'd have to wonder whether or not God was in it! If Christ suffered, we will too. We'll be prayin' for you back on the home front....
Where's pictures of Pastor Jody? The girls want to see some pictures of their daddy!!!
